Urban Informatics of Modelling
This unit examines cities using digital data, information, knowledge and models to understand trends and complexities in order to inform the evaluation and formulation of sustainable and liveable urban futures. Students explore cognitive, technical and creative skills to evaluate complex urban concepts, analyse and synthesise complex information, and apply established and emerging theories of cities.

Dynamic Modelling of Cities
This unit explores the potential for data and the use of emerging spatio-temporal and environmental modelling and analysis technology as an integrated part of design processes.

Flexible Urban Modelling
This elective will involve modelling and interacting with complex urban sites focusing on modelling difficult terrains, both existing conditions and topographical manipulation. Students will investigate biomorphic/organic form making and representation techniques utilising procedural modelling using 3ds Max as well as plug-in and script use. Through investigating rapidly emerging digital modelling technologies, students will learn time-saving modelling, how to manage complex files, and how to move information between a range of software.

Site Tectonics
This subject introduces landscape as a three-dimensional space. Aspects of site grading and earthwork manipulation will be explored, including their experiential and functional implications. The Importance of landform modelling to the design vocabulary of landscape architecture will be introduced, alongside principles of technical and representational techniques.

Shaping the Landscape
This subject explores landscape as three-dimensional design. Through a series of related design exercises it investigates and tests conceptual, metaphoric, structural and technical characteristics of landform manipulation and material application
